The Metro Burgers

Davao City is invaded not by aliens...oh no not yet...but by Burgers! A lot of home grown burger shops have opened in town. The burgers they serve are home made but can definitely compete with national and even international burger chains. They have made Dabawenyos happy because we now have numerous burger places to choose from. A new entrant to the growing numbers of burger shops is The Metro Burgers!

We were invited to their food tasting and service run through last Feb. 16. We got the chance to interview the Owner Eight Espino who is a wedding photographer. He said that he and his family are food enthusiast and they come up with an idea to open their own food service. He studied burger making in the US and voila, they now have The Metro Burgers which opened to the public last Feb.18. As a bonus he also gave us tips on food photography.

We got to try their Hawaiian Burger and Double Burger and apple iced tea.  The Hawaiian Burger(P100) is really good with a slice of pineapple. It taste better than Jollibee's Aloha burger.
The Double Burger (P150) is also good and really filling. The patties are really juicy and tender and the veggies are just the right crunch and freshness. The regular burger is priced at P80 which is really affordable.

We cannot say yet that they have the best burger in town but their burgers are really good and a must try for all burgers afficionados. Your burger experience will not be complete if you will not try out The Metro Burgers. We have yet to try their other burgers which includes the Chinese burger, Mexican Burger. Well we won a Gift Certificate so we will definitely be back! :)
