During the 2nd Day of our DFAT 2013 we started off early to have brunch at Digos City which is a 45 minutes to 1 hour drive from Davao City. Our travel was well rewarded with the secret surprise that awaited us, a restaurant called Fiesta Sorpresa. We consider it a secret because it is not known yet to many outside of Digos City. We only know of Mers and Frangels as known food stops in Digos. Now another place is added to our list which we also recommend to travelers to the area or to those just passing by.
Fiesta Sorpresa is a charming restaurant specializing in Filipino Food located at the downtown area of Digos. It is owned by Mr. Alan and Jenny Enchano and family. They are also the owners of My Skin Essentials which is a line of beauty products.
We were treated to a feast of delightful Filipino dishes which is not unlike a barrio fiesta. Our feast started off with one of their Pampangana offerings which is the Spicy Chicken Wings at P85.
Binagoongang Bagnet one of their Fiesta Specials at P120
Another Fiesta Special is their Garlic Fried Chicken at P250.
Sinigang na Baboy for Sabaw.
Sizzling Stuffed Squid at P165.
We also got to try on of their Tipid Meals, the Lumpia Shanghai Meal with Rice at P49. This is perfect for students or those who wants to dine on a budget.
Our feast was punctuated with a Panghimagas which is a Fruit Bowl served at P39. Unfortunately we got too busy eating that we didn't get any photo.
Everything we ate was delicious, it is truly Filipino Cooking at it's finest. Our personal favorites are the Binagoongang Bagnet and Sizzling Stuffed Squid. They have truly captured the essence of a Filipino fiesta with sumptuous food and sincere service and warm hospitality of the owners and staff.
